Plenty of jobs on but unable to find the best candidates.
This is a reality for a lot of recruiters.
Its gut wrenching knowing you could fill the role, if you could just find the best candidates.
Here is my hot tips on finding those hidden candidates.
Start with facts ...
↳ Look up the company your supporting on LinkedIn
↳ Identify the industry they classify as (you will use this later)
↳ Take the job title, and looking for existing employees at the company
↳ What words and acronyms do they use on their profile?
↳ What companies did they use to work for?
↳ What are their full job titles?
↳ Take the information and turn it into a search string
Now overlay your knowledge (sorry brain this might hurt)...
↳ What other words / acronyms could a candidate use↳ Who are the competitors to your company?
↳ Take the information and add it into your search stringBefore you pull the trigger, think about where your searching ...
↳ Where are you going to search?
↳ What type of candidates hang out on that platform?
↳ Are there any limitations on the platform?
Now take that knowledge and leverage it to run the ultimate search combinations.
Yes you read that correctly, don't just dump one search in and say your done.
Push & pull different elements to see what happens. Most importantly though
As you run your search, keep grabbing the facts.
Facts = words, acronyms, companies
Facts are the pieces of information, left on the profile of a candidate, that are going to lead you to the best people.
Take those facts and make your search string smarter.
Every role is fillable, you just need to think like a candidate and follow the facts.
PS I have a more in depth cheat sheet. If you want a copy send me a connection question on LinkedIn (click here) and add the word "search" in the message.
